About Victory

Launched in 1998, Victory was designed to be the "modern" American motorcycle, offering a performance-oriented alternative to the traditional cruiser establishment. Based in Minnesota, Victory specialized in high-torque "Freedom" V-twin engines and radical, flowing designs—most notably seen in the futuristic Vision tourer. Although Polaris eventually retired the brand to focus on Indian, Victory remains a cult favorite for its reliability and aggressive "pro-street" aesthetic.

The technical heart of most Victory models was the 106-cubic-inch Freedom V-twin, featuring overhead cams and four valves per cylinder, which provided a smoother, more rev-happy powerband than its contemporaries. The Octane model further pushed boundaries as a 104 HP "power cruiser" based on a liquid-cooled 1200cc platform. This database provides the technical specs for the Victory catalog, detailing the engine performance, rake/trail geometry, and the massive 250mm rear tires found on models like the Hammer. For fans of American muscle, Victory represents the pinnacle of modern cruiser engineering.
